Oral Surgery

Oral Surgery

Dental extraction, also known as tooth extraction, is the removal of teeth from the socket in the alveolar bone. Whether it be for removing a wisdom tooth or any other tooth because of excessive tooth decay, tooth infection, and crowding, our oral surgeon will conduct the surgery perfectly.

A teeth extraction process includes the following steps:

  • Assessment

A Patient's medical history and the history of pain in the tooth are assessed. In some cases, X-rays are also taken to aid the dentist in carrying out the procedure.

  • Obtaining Consent from the Patient

The dentist explains the alternative treatment options, benefits, and costs of the tooth extraction procedure to the patient. After the patient's approval, tooth extraction proceeds to the next step.

  • Giving Local Anesthetic

As a method of numbing the tooth and surrounding tissues, the dentist delivers a local anesthetic. It helps to avoid pain.

  • Removal of Tooth

Multiple dental instruments extract the tooth to minimally traumatize the tissues and allow for quicker healing.

  • Achieving Hemostasis (Cloth formation to stop bleeding)

Sterile gauze is used to provide firm pressure to the wound to stop bleeding. This step helps promote blood clot formation at the base of the socket.

Our Benefits

Sometimes the best treatment for your condition will be a tooth extraction. It is best to remove teeth that cannot be restored due to tooth decay or periodontal disease, especially when they are associated with toothache.

  1. Remove pain caused due to infected/damaged teeth.
  2. Stop the spread of infection.
  3. Protect the rest of your teeth.
